  I went to BB&T to deposit a payroll check. I just started a new job and unfortunately had to wait THREE weeks to get my first paycheck. As you can image I was very anxious to cash it. The teller first told me that my funds would not be available for two days, and then he took that back and said that the funds would be available immediately because it was a payroll check. So I deposited the check and went on my way. When I got back to work to check my account, it only showed a 100.00 deposit not the full amount. I then called the branch to see what the problem was and he answered the phone. He told me that he was looking at my account right now and that the money should show soon, and if it didn’t show by 2pm to call him back. At 2:05 the money still hadn't populated so I called the branch again. This time a supervisor answered the phone, she listened as I explained what happened. She then placed me on hold and spoke with the teller. She came back to the phone and said that the teller stated that he did NOT tell me that the money would be available immediately. WTF! She went on to say that he probably didn’t understand what I was asking because "All of the tellers know that check are never available immediately." REALITY CHECK ALL OF YOUR TELLERS DON'T KNOW AND ARE TELLING CUSTOMERS THE WRONG INFORMATION. She then went to say that there was nothing that she could do, all she could do was apologize. There is actually something else she could do FIRE THE TELLER. He doesn't have a freakin clue. He told me the wrong information at the bank, feed me more incorrect information when I called the branch after noticing that the funds were not available, and then he lied when questioned by the supervisor. Maybe you guys should spend a little more time training your tellers, they have access to people's money aka their lives! And my whole day is screwed up because of his incompetence. Thanks man! Gotta love BB&T!
